Authentication Switchover 

The switchover was completed successfully.  You can now use the Microsoft Authenticator system to log in.

Laptop Users - Please ensure that your laptop has been restarted if your connection fails on the first attempt.  If you continue to experience difficulties, contact the ICT Service Desk on 01782 742154 (from 8:30am onwards) for further assistance.

General Requirements

Before you can access our corporate systems remotely you will need to have:

  • Been setup by ICT with remote access privilages
  • Your two factor authentication device and pin
  • A suitable broadband connection (our systems work best with at least 3mb bandwidth)

Please be aware that for corporate laptop users, performance when retrieving and saving files will not be as quick as when you are in the office.

Personal Devices

If you are using your own equipment you will need to use Chrome as your web browser.   You should also ensure that your device has up-to-date antivirus software and that its software is regularly updated.

If you do not have a virus checker, you can register for Sophos Home for free (PC or Mac).

Other Services and Further Support

Self Service Portal - Staff and Councillors only

To use this service you must:

  • Have pre-registered for the service
  • Have your authentication device available
  • Know the answers to your authentication questions.

If you require further support you can contact the ICT Service Desk on 01782 742154.  

Support is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (excluding public holidays).

If you don't already have an up-to-date Antivirus application, you can register for Sophos Home and download it for free.  The service is web-based and once installed, will automatically protect your PC or Mac.
